side effects

12 02 2010

The fine print. It is worth reading sometimes.

Some of it may be lawsuit avoiding legalese but there are some things that we really should know. It is for our own good.

Because in some cases, the adverse effects turn out to be exactly what you were trying to avoid in the first place.

And sometimes these unfortunate ulterior outcomes are not even listed in the first place.

So in the interest of public safety, I have listed some common examples below:

Sleeping pills – Side effects may include insomnia

Anti-Nausea medication – Side effects may include vomiting

Going out for a quiet drink – Side effects may include crawling through the front door at 2am

Going to the shops for that one thing you need – Side effects may include a lifetime of servitude to Mastercard/Visa

Concentrating on finishing that important task/document/letter – Side effects may include hours on twitter/youtube/facebook etc.

It is not exhaustive but it is a start. Be safe.

And feel free to add your own.

Fine print – this may not be worth reading
